What to Expect During Your First Visit

Your first visit to Webb Family Orthodontics will take about an 30-40 minutes and it’s completely FREE! The visit typically includes all of the following.

• Meet Our Team: You’ll meet the Webb Family Orthodontics team, including Dr. Brian Webb or Dr. Sonia Bravo, and our registered orthodontic assistants. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, so we know you’ll feel comfortable here.
• Your Exam: Your exam will include a thorough check-up performed by one of our doctors. This exam will often include intraoral photos and panoramic X-ray. Who doesn’t love a little photoshoot?!
• Review of Records: The doctor will review the photos, X-rays and notes to determine the problems and formulate a personalized treatment plan just for you. If you have previous dental and orthodontic records, the doctor will also review those at this time so that they can create the most effective solution for your particular issues.
• Discussion of Treatment Options: In many cases, there are several different options for treatment. We will discuss your best options and help you decide which would work best for you.

What Happens After the Consultation?

After your free consultation, you have a couple of options if treatment is indicated: immediate treatment or delayed treatment. If you want to begin your treatment plan right away, we can get you started that same day while you’re already there! The Webb Family Orthodontics team can review your orthodontic insurance coverage and discuss payment options with you. We offer flexible payment terms to make teeth straightening affordable and accessible for anyone who needs it. If you’re getting braces, Invisalign or another type of treatment on the day of your consultation, it usually takes less than an extra hour to start the treatment.

If your little one is not quite ready to begin your treatment process yet, we can place you in the Webb Family Orthodontics Observation Program. While in the observation program, we will monitor their smile over time until it’s the right time for treatment to begin.

Scheduling Appointments: How Often Will You See the Orthodontist?

Orthodontic appointments are scheduled according to your specific needs. Most patients should plan to see us for a checkup around every four to eight weeks. These appointments are very important because they allow our team to closely monitor your progress and to make any adjustments necessary for optimal teeth straightening. These orthodontic appointments are separate from your regular teeth cleaning appointments. However, Dr. Webb does recommend cleanings every 3 months in order to prevent white spots when your treatment process is complete.
